Over the Bonds, Mount Washington in distance  [ info ]
The contrast between hardwood and softwood forest is striking in this dizzying aerial view over the Pemigewasset Wilderness. Most prominent, mid-image, are the glacial cirques of the Bonds, the most remote of the White Mountain peaks, and their neighbors Guyot and South Twin. The Presidential Range lies, almost like a cloud, on the horizon.
The White Mountains Collection was donated to the Mount Washington Observatory by Brad Washburn
