East of Mount Monroe  [ info ]
The snowy peak of Mount Monroe anchors this image, with the A.M.C. hut at Lakes of the Clouds discernible just over its right-hand ridge. The rugged Oakes Gulf headwall suggests an abyss on the right. Over Bigelow Lawn looms the summit cone of Mount Washington; Mounts Clay, Jefferson, and Adams can be seen to the north.
The White Mountains Collection was donated to the Mount Washington Observatory by Brad Washburn
